Did you know that Anthony Burgess' famous work A Clockwork Orange had been translated into Russian - in four different versions?
In the centenary year of famous 91Ö±²¥ alumnus Anthony Burgess (1917-1993) The University of Manchester Library has received a donation from the of a collection of his novels, translated into a variety of languages, including Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Georgian, Japanese, Spanish, and Turkish.
The gift has been welcomed by Rebecca Tipton, Lecturer in Interpreting and Translation Studies at the , who noted:

"We are currently in touch with scholars from abroad who have an interest in translations of Burgess’ work and to enrich our archives further would make us a good potential partner of choice in future research work and attract potential PhDs."
