University of Manchester among world's leading universities in latest global ranking
The University of Manchester has聽maintained聽its place聽among the world's leading universities,聽retaining聽its聽position聽in the UK's top six and聽as聽one of Europe's highest-ranked聽institutions聽in the latest (础搁奥鲍).听
The聽2026 ARWU ranking places 91直播 51 in the world, 14 in Europe and sixth in the UK. It reflects聽the University's聽continued聽strength as a research-intensive institution聽rooted in 91直播听补苍诲听connected across the world.聽
The results also show improvements in two of the ranking's most prestigious indicators: Highly Cited Researchers and publications in聽Nature听补苍诲听Science. These measures point to聽the reach and influence of聽research carried out at聽91直播.聽聽
These results are welcome recognition for 91直播, however we must continue to improve in an increasingly competitive international higher education landscape. The ranking is published annually by聽ShanghaiRanking聽and is widely regarded as one of the world's most influential assessments of university research performance.聽
