Creative and cultural collaborations in social science research (part of the ESRC Festival 2021)
On 10 November, researchers from the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures and Creative 91直播 will host a hybrid workshop exploring research and knowledge exchange with the creative and cultural industries.
Focused on the creative and cultural industries in the North West, this interactive session will connect researchers, industry, policy and business engagement teams to discuss the opportunities for, and challenges of, collaboration in research and knowledge exchange.
The event will feature Creative 91直播’s Creative Industries Deep Dive Aspect Project, which explored creative industries ‘best practice’ across Greater 91直播 and Yorkshire and Humber regions. It explored how partnerships are established and supported, infrastructure engagement, language and outputs, as well as the impact of COVID on partnerships, including its effects on diversity in the sector. The project was supported by funding from , which seeks to draw together academics and industry leaders to address social challenges and to encourage and commercialise social science research.
A live (and live-streamed) panel session will discuss business engagement and collaboration across the creative and cultural industries. Panellists from the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, the and the cultural sector will debate the challenges and benefits of knowledge exchange and research collaboration.
